Hand Quilting Workshop

Join me in the stunning Heath + Down studio for a morning of playful patchwork and hand quilting.

An introduction to the timeless log cabin patchwork pattern, but without all the measuring and perfection. This workshop is designed to embrace the creative spirit of textile art,  exploring colour, texture, and experimentation. And simply find the joy in the act of making and the relaxation of hand sewing.

This class is perfect for beginners, in this small group you will learn;

• How to follow a simple quilt pattern

• Hand piecing your chosen fabrics

• Layering your quilt with wadding (that’s the stuffing) and a backing fabric

• Hand quilting all the layers together.

You will be provided with a variety of beautiful cotton and linen fabrics to choose to work with (but you are more than welcome to bring your own), along with wadding, needles, threads, scissors etc, and finally the card to mount your textile creation.

Teas coffees and cake will be complementary throughout the morning
