Hand Quilting Workshop

Saturday 20th September.

10am - 1pm

Woolpack Farm, Bell Lane,

Fletching, TN22 3YB

£75 includes Materials, tools, refreshments and a locally sourced vegetarian lunch.

Join me in the gorgeous East Sussex country side to create an improvised hand stitched mini mounted quilt.

Embracing a playful and unplanned approach to hand quilting, that will enable you to create a piece of textile art that is personal to you.

During the workshop you will learn improv patchwork, how to experiment with colour, how to trust your instincts and work intuitively, creating beautiful fabric combinations and abstract arrangements. You will also learn how to layer a quilt top ready to quilt and finally how to hand quilt all the layers together.

No previous patchwork or quilting experience needed! This workshop is designed to experience the relaxing pleasures of hand quilting and to simply enjoy creative play.

You will be provided with a variety of fabrics to choose to work with (but you are more than welcome to bring your own), along with wadding (thats the stuffing), needles, threads etc, and finally the card to mount your textile creation.

The workshop will be hosted by Woolpacks Yard in a beautiful refurbished milking parlour, a delicious vegetarian lunch will be provided at the end of the class, along with teas and coffee throughout the morning.

As part of Artwave Festival 2025 Woolpack Yard has invited myself along with 10 other artists to display our works in their reimagined stables every weekend of September 5th - 21st.
